As we reported last week, GoDaddy is on the warpath to develop the company further in 2005. And this week they have announced a new range of services to tie in with it’s domain registration.
Virtual private servers (VPS) and dedicated servers are amongst the offerings, powered by SWSoft’s Virtuozzo virtual server platform. However service pricing is not cheap, and industry analysts are questioning their move.
GoDaddy is planning a massive publicity campaign (alongside it’s announced Super Bowl ad) to promote these new services, and no doubt intends to migrate existing domain customers over to the new hosting packages.
