Atticus Finch

Living in Macomb County, Gem is eldest and Scout is the younger one. Tactics shares a truthful relationship with his kids that Will always be treasured. Tactics is such a great parent because he’s a man Of patience, he understands children, and he teaches them many morals. To begin with, Tactics is patient. When Scout starts speaking bad words (so she won’t have to go to school), does Tactics become furious and yell at Scout? No, not at all, Tactics is patient, and waits for the bad language to eventually go away.

Being able to patient is not a technique that all parents can perform. In this quote, spoken by Tactics, he expresses his knowledge of children and their time with ad language: “Bad language is a stage all children go through, and it dies with time when they learn they’re not attracting attention with it” (87). Tactics waits for the stage to go away, and in time, it does. Another trait Tactics possesses that makes him such a great tatter is the ability to understand children.

Tactics is very wise about his children throughout the whole novel of To Kill a Mockingbird. In chapter 9 of the novel, Tactics shows his understanding of children most, when he’s talking to Uncle Jack, “When a child asks you something, answer him, for goodness’ sake. But don’t make a production of it. Children are children, but they can spot an evasion quicker than adults, and evasion simply muddles ‘me” (87). This quote is spoken by Tactics and he’s explaining that children can tell when you’re trying to avoid a subject, and venue you do, you confuse them.

From this quote, Tactics, most likely answers any questions that Scout and Gem may have. In addition to understanding children and being patient, Tactics teaches his kids important morals. Tactics recognizes that people have both good and bad qualities. He is determined to admire the good While forgiving he bad. Tactics is able to admire Mrs.. Double’s courage of desiring to die free of morphine, and forgiving her rude criticism.

Tactics passes this great moral lesson to Scout and Gem, and by having this point of view protects the innocent from being destroyed by evil. As Scout and Gem grow, they are introduced to more situations of evil versus good. But Tactics helps them get through these situations. All in all, understanding of children, patience, and a teacher of important morals are all qualities of Tactics that make him such a great parent in this novel. Tactics teaches his children about the concurrence of good and evil.

Tactics truly understands his children. The understanding of children was shown by Tactics when he explains to Uncle Jack that children can tell when you’re trying to confuse them; 50 instead of confusing them, tell them what they want to know. Patience and good parenting technique was also shown by Tactics when he waited for Scout’s bad language to go away. There is no doubt that supporting a family is difficult, but to do it as a single father is great. Tactics is a wonderful parent that other parents should definitely follow.
